Baghdad Child – Instrumental Guitar – Frédéric Mesnier

Download Sheet Music, Tab & MP3: www.fmguitar.com http ———————————————- Composer: Frédéric Mesnier Performer: Frédéric Mesnier Guitar: JM Fouilleul Grand Concert 2003 (France) ———————————————- On Facebook: www.facebook.com On Twitter: twitter.com ———————————————- I composed this music in 2005. It belongs to a series of 3 pieces written the same year and that I dedicated to the children of the war in Iraq. I recorded the two others, Leila and Leila’s Tears, in 2007 and 2008. I don’t know why I did’nt finish the job with this one. Probably because it’s a bit more difficult to play;) Anyway! Now it’s done and it’s on the web available for everyone. 2005 was a difficult period for me and for reasons that I will not share here. But those three songs give an idea of my feelings at that time. Or when the guitar mirrors your soul… It’s much better today ;) ) Thank you for watching Frédéric

the way i try to make a song is set my rig and put the distortion on the making riffs with a few single notes and power chord.. trying to sound original isn’t easy at all. I salute you Frederick!

Frederic, this is so beautiful, and with that gorgeous little girl as a backdrop to the melody, brings me to tears every time. I did buy the music and I’m learning to play it, but it is a bit more difficult than it looks on paper! I love a challenge tho… Thanks for posting your videos. You are definitely one of my favorite subscriptions.

Thank you all for your comments. Always deeply rewarding to get your feedback. I knew the theme of this video would bring polemics about the war in Iraq. That was not my intention but it’s logical. Everybody feels concerned by the barbarity, wherever it comes from. I don’t pretend to own the truth on this difficult subject. But above that, there is something that should unite us all: children are innocent victims without any defense. This music was just to help our thoughts go to them. Fred

@cbrusharmy Yeah it was Rob Furlong. He borrowed some advanced american ammo, and made an amazing shot. He has since been passed by a british officer named Craig Harrison though. Snipers are nearing the 2.5km mark. Rather mind blowing.

@Xerxes4242 Agreed. Let’s agree to disagree and leave it at that. Wonderful song regardless.

@InFlam3sW3Trust I think over a million dead civilians would disagree with you. And calling me one of the “drooling masses” because I disagree with you? Anyways, I’d rather not get into this on Fred’s page video.

@elfwall Not exactly true. Generals, special forces units, and pilots certainly count, as does naval involvement. By the by, was it a couple Canadian snipers in Afghanistan, do you know, that got the record for farthest kill shot? Pretty cool.
